A longtime skier, Maire discovered Utah powder in the late 1960?s. She subsequently left her position as a pharmacologist on the East Coast and moved West. After several years in marketing at Snowbird, Maire started in real estate, first in Little Cottonwood Canyon, then Salt Lake City and finally Park City in 1980.
An Associate Broker, Maire is a very active agent and involved in all aspects of the real estate business locally, in the state, nationally and internationally. Maire was honored as the Realtor of the Year in 2004 and with the Director?s Award in 1992. She has served as the President of the Park City Board of Realtors, has achieved Master Status in the Professional Achievement Award, and continues as a real estate education instructor and the President of the Board?s Philanthropic Foundation.
A portion of Maire?s business is helping an international clientele. As the 2004 Chair of the International Operations Committee for the National Association of Realtors, their Liaison for 5 years to the Netherlands and now Finland, Maire has gained valuable insights into the international real estate arena. She is a Director of FIABCI-USA and the President of the Leisure Division of the International Real Estate Federation. She has traveled in over 125 countries and developed a network of global associates to assist with her international clientele. She has studied Nederlands (Dutch) abroad and learned French as a child.
Maire is a busy person who still finds time to ski, run and travel. Passionate about the arts, she is on the Board of the Deer Valley Music Festival, is a long time supporter of Ballet West, Pioneer Theatre and the Egyptian Theatre Company. Always an outdoor enthusiast, Maire is on the Board of Summit Land Conservancy, a local land trust and serves on a multitude of other professional and community organizations. As an East Coast native from Montclair, New Jersey, Maire adores the outdoor recreational opportunities in Utah and the wide open scenic vistas. These add a sense of balance to her active life. In her free time, she skis, runs or bikes depending on the season.
